Antique Sligh Furniture Company low dresser - SOLD

A low and wide antique dresser of solid wood (walnut and oak) awaits a place of prominence in your home. This beautiful piece of american made furniture was made by the Sligh Furniture Company of Grand Rapids Michigan, most likely in the 1930's or 40's. This unique piece of furniture would be the focal point in whatever room it's placed in, from the bedroom to a den or dining room.

The dresser was completely painted green with white drawers sometime long ago. I stripped, sanded, and refinished both the top and drawer fronts but left some of the vintage green paint as an endearing part of the dresser's history. All three drawers were disassembled, cleaned, sanded and had the dovetail joints re-glued. They are once again sturdy and open and close smoothly. The drawer fronts feature a stunning walnut burl veneer, which though not in perfect condition, still adds a heaping dose of class to the piece. Uncovered brass caps on the feet match perfectly with the new solid brass drawer knobs.

Dimensions: 50"w / 24"d / 33.75"t

Drawers: top 4.875" tall / middle 7.75" tall / bottom 8.875" tall

Saw this piece on Apartment Therapy just now and am so impressed! Someone put a lot of thought into the construction of this dresser, even the insides of the drawers are gorgeous. You did an absolutely beautiful job bringing it back to its glory days.

Do you still have a link for the knobs, because I seriously need those in my life.
